They faded from this land long ago. Kings and Queens of old, the Lords and Ladies, silver tongued warrior poets from far across the sea. They were driven deep, deep underground, where they built many pillared brughs and lay their dead to rest in dark barrows of rocky soil and moldering stone.

Ages passed, and they were all but forgotten outside snatches of song and myth as they slept beneath the heather.
