All fae are ephemeral, but Will-o-the-wisps are the most of all. They’re known for luring travelers to an untimely demise in swamps and bogs, and are therefore either viewed with suspicion or considered to be downright malevolent. But MAAAYYYBE they’re just dancing in the twilight, doing their thing, flitting through ferns and trees and wondering why humans insist on chasing them.

Except for the ones who totally take pleasure in killing people, they’re just jerks.
